The border crisis that has plagued America for years is finally showing signs of retreat—and it’s no coincidence. Under strict enforcement policies introduced by the Trump administration, illegal border crossings plummeted by a staggering 90 percent compared to last year. These dramatic drops prove that firm, uncompromising border security works, and it’s long overdue for the Biden administration to follow suit—if they ever intend to put America first.
After years of open-border chaos under Joe Biden’s watch, where the so-called “catch and release” policy turned the southern border into a revolving door for illegal aliens, the situation on the ground is drastically different today. Migrants aren’t flooding the border anymore. Arrests fell from a daily average of nearly 200 illegal crossings to fewer than 90 on record low days, with total August encounters shrinking from over 60,000 to about 8,000 nationwide. This is the direct result of strong immigration enforcement, not the wishful thinking of globalist bureaucrats pushing for open borders.

Not only has this crackdown saved American communities from being overwhelmed by unchecked immigration, but it has also saved lives. Migrant deaths, which once hit tragic highs—sometimes averaging one death per day in border sectors flooded with desperate, exposed migrants—have plummeted to fewer than one per month. That’s because fewer people are risking their lives to cross a border that’s actually being defended. Unlike Biden’s irresponsible policies that encouraged reckless crossings and resulted in horrific drownings and heat-related deaths, this new approach respects human life by enforcing order and discouraging illegal immigration.
Yet, while record-low apprehensions prove the effectiveness of tough border control, Democrats continue to cry wolf about “humanitarian crises” and push for open borders—and they do it while America bears the brunt of their reckless policies. These globalist elites don’t care about the rule of law or the safety of American citizens. Their priority is to flood our country with cheap labor for corporate profits, diluting our culture and draining taxpayer resources. Meanwhile, blue states and big cities become dumping grounds for unchecked illegal immigration.
It’s time for the Biden administration and its progressive enablers to quit pretending they care about border security. The proof is right in front of them: strict enforcement works, it saves lives, and it restores order. New leadership and a return to tough policies are the only way to protect American sovereignty. If the Left refuses to stand for securing the border, then they are actively choosing open borders, crime, and chaos. America simply cannot afford that anymore.
