Across the country, voters are voicing their expectations that Trump will hit the ground running to restore order and security at the southern border within his first 100 days in office.
In South Padre Island, Texas, attendees of a SpaceX launch didn’t hold back when asked about their priorities for Trump’s return.
“Start back on the wall,” said Mitchell, echoing a sentiment shared by many who believe finishing Trump’s signature border wall is essential to regaining control.
“Mass deportations,” added Joe, emphasizing the need for a firm stance on illegal immigration.

The desire for immediate action was shared by Shelly, who called for Trump to “shut down the borders on day one” to ensure the safety of Americans. Alma agreed, urging Trump to focus on stopping illegal immigration altogether.
Kevin summed up the mood: “Let’s make the United States safe again.”

While securing the border is the dominant concern, many Americans also want Trump to focus on other key issues tied to the “America First” agenda.
Ed highlighted the need to restore energy independence, a hallmark of Trump’s first term. Ricardo, with a nod to Trump’s earlier policies, simply said, “Drill, baby, drill.”

“I want to see them gut the government because it’s ridiculously bloated,” said Lisa, a sentiment echoed by Raymos, who called for cutting waste and giving power back to the people.
