California, the so-called “golden” state, has once again shown its true colors. Under the misguided leadership of Gavin Newsom, the state has become a haven for lawlessness and soft-on-crime policies. In a move that can only be described as outrageous, California is preparing to release an illegal immigrant responsible for a horrific crime. This twice-deported criminal, drawn into our nation by the promises of sanctuary and freebies, killed two young American citizens in a DUI crash. And now, barely a slap on the wrist later, he’s set to walk free.
This heartbreaking story of two innocent teens being mowed down by a drunken, high reckless driver is the kind of tragedy that should ignite outrage. But thanks to liberal policies that prioritize criminal rights over citizens, justice has become a joke in California. That a violent criminal with a long rap sheet is on the verge of release screams of liberal incompetence. How many more lives have to be shattered before these progressives realize their policies are a disaster?

It’s these sanctuary state ideologues who have blood on their hands. They pretend to champion compassion, but their so-called “kindness” comes at the expense of real American lives. They cry about compassion for lawbreakers while the families of these young victims are left with nothing but heartbreak. If our leaders valued American lives just half as much as they value political correctness, dangerous criminals wouldn’t be running amok on our streets.
And let’s not forget the federal level. The one person who could tighten border security and put an end to this endless cycle of illegal entries is sitting comfortably in Washington, D.C. These tragedies are seeded in Joe Biden’s disastrous border policies and watered by the reckless support of sanctuary states. While they open the gates wide to anyone and everyone, innocent people pay the ultimate price.
California needs reformation. The silent majority must rise up and put an end to this madness. If we don’t hold our leaders accountable, who will? How many more innocent lives must be lost to immigrant criminals before voters wake up to the realization that their safety is being traded for political agendas?
