In Albany, New York, a man went off the deep end and decided to cause chaos at a synagogue as Hannukah kicked off. This lunatic opened fire with a shotgun, shouting “Free Palestine” in a display of utter madness. The mainstream media, as expected, is trying its best to downplay this act of domestic terrorism, but let’s call a spade a spade. This was a blatant and vile act of hate and should be labeled as such.

Thankfully, no one was injured or killed during this terrifying incident, and the police were able to swiftly apprehend the suspect. The authorities are rightfully treating this as a hate crime, as it was a direct attack on the Jewish community, just hours before the start of Hannukah.
The police chief, Eric Hawkins, expressed the need for a thorough investigation into the shooting, and Governor Kathy Hochul emphasized that the assailant made threatening statements while firing the shots. It’s fortunate that a bystander was able to help detain the suspect until law enforcement arrived on the scene.
Before being taken into custody, the assailant dropped the shotgun and absurdly claimed to be a victim, which is nothing short of bizarre. Furthermore, his declaration of “Free Palestine” further highlights the depravity of this attack. This reprehensible act should be universally condemned, but given the biased media’s agenda, it’s no surprise that coverage of this incident may be swept under the rug.
It’s troubling to think that if this had been an attack on a mosque, the mainstream media would have been all over it. However, the unfortunate reality is that this attack on a synagogue may not receive the attention it deserves. Coupled with recent incidents targeting the Jewish community in Indianapolis and Houston, it’s clear that there is a pattern of hate that is not getting the coverage it warrants. It’s time for the media to stop playing favorites and give these despicable acts the attention and condemnation they rightly deserve.
