America watched in disbelief as the so-called No Kings protests—marketed as a stand against “authoritarianism”—devolved into scenes of raw hatred and lawlessness, with some on the left openly celebrating the assassination of conservative voices. The tragic murder of Charlie Kirk in September shocked the nation and exposed a poisonous strain of political violence that now appears to be bleeding into these mass demonstrations.
What began as peaceful dissent has been infiltrated by radicals and opportunists who flirt with violence; law enforcement reports and on-the-ground coverage from October’s No Kings events show arrests, tactical gear, and alarming confrontations in multiple cities. Millions turned out across the country, but a handful of violent actors and those who celebrate murder should not be the face of legitimate protest—yet the media too often shields them.
Videos and eyewitness accounts from Chicago captured a sickening moment when an educator reenacted the killing of Charlie Kirk, a grotesque display that should never be tolerated by any school district or community. Parents have a right to demand accountability when those entrusted with children’s minds act like mobs and cheer for political violence.
The rot goes straight into the halls of higher education, where a university law professor was recently dismissed after social media posts that defended and justified the killing of a conservative activist. When academia becomes a safe harbor for celebrating murder, it proves the urgent need for institutions to choose principle and public safety over partisan cover-ups.
Worse still, security officials recently uncovered a suspicious elevated hunting stand with a clear line of sight to where President Trump disembarks his aircraft, prompting an FBI and Secret Service probe—evidence that threats are not abstract, they are real and growing. Whether motivated by political hatred or opportunistic vandals, any attempt to put an American leader in harm’s way must be met with the full force of the law and relentless investigation.
Conservative Americans should be unapologetic in demanding law and order: prosecute those who celebrate or plot political murder, expel violent actors from campuses and protests, and strip special protections from institutions that tolerate this behavior. We must protect free speech, but we will never accept a culture that normalizes violence against people for their beliefs.
This is a moment for patriots to stand firm for civility and safety—call your school boards, support accountability at universities, and insist that local and federal authorities treat political violence with the seriousness it deserves. The left’s double standards and the mainstream media’s reflexive excuses will not protect our country; only citizens who love liberty, order, and life will.
