Chaos Rings in New Year as Biden’s America Faces Deadly Attacks

New Year’s Day in Joe Biden’s America was anything but festive, as the curtain closed on 2024 with scenes that could ignite a panic in even the most ardent supporters of the current administration. Two horrific incidents on opposite sides of the country serve as a grim reminder of the lawlessness and chaos plaguing the nation. First up, in the Big Easy, an Army veteran decided to bring a whole new meaning to “party crash” by turning Bourbon Street into a scene of carnage. Shamsud Din Jabbar’s reckless rampage claimed fifteen innocent lives while leaving another thirty with serious injuries. This was not just some misguided holiday revelry; this was a calculated attack from someone who had pledged allegiance to ISIS, showcasing a level of extremism that has become uncomfortably familiar.

Meanwhile, the glitzy lights of Las Vegas flickered ominously as a Tesla Cybertruck exploded just outside the Trump Hotel, causing chaos but mercifully sparing the bulk of innocent lives. The only unfortunate casualty in this act of destruction was the driver, Matthew Livelsberger, a 37-year-old from Colorado Springs who reportedly filled the vehicle with firework mortars and gasoline cans. So much for ringing in the New Year with fireworks! The FBI—ever the beacon of clarity—was left scratching its head, dismissing the New Orleans assault as any sort of terrorism while scrambling to make sense of the Las Vegas incident.

Livelsberger had a military background, as did the New Orleans attacker—a delightful detail the media is keen to explore. While the FBI runs around like a chicken with its head cut off, their investigation into a potential connection between these two veterans was announced with a level of uncertainty typical of a press release from a fumbling bureaucracy. Are they perhaps implying that military service directly correlates with such unspeakable acts? Or is it merely a back door hand-wringing to distract from the toxic policies of a failing administration?

The overarching question remains: How did this chaos become normalized under Biden’s watch? Crime rates have soared under his leadership, and incidents like these—and the half-hearted investigations that follow—paint a picture of a country teetering on the brink of anarchy. While Biden talks about investigating connections between a heroic veteran gone rogue and a bomber with presumably similar grievances, one wonders if the administration even recognizes the real issues facing America today.

The two men—even having possibly served on the same military base—represent a troubling trend of individuals grappling with the harsh realities of a nation that is losing its moral compass. Both used Turo, a car-sharing app, to rent their vehicles, indicating a shared mindset, possibly seeking out an avenue to relive some nightmare they were unable to escape. While the left may want to blame guns for the violence, the right knows it’s broader societal issues that need tackling, not just surface-level fixes.

As investigators sift through the ashes and pieces of twisted metal from both events, one can’t help but cringe at the irony that the FBI is more puzzled than proactive. Biden wants to keep a steady eye on possibilities connecting these two attackers while ignoring the glaring failures of policy that allow for such chaos to thrive. With another year upon us, Americans deserve better than a round of bombings as a New Year’s greeting. It’s high time to demand accountability rather than wishful thinking from those in charge.
