It seems like we’re living out a political drama more gripping than anything Hollywood could conjure up. This time, the spotlight is on President Biden and the eyebrow-raising oversight of those who should have been keeping a watchful eye. During the Biden years, we managed to misplace not just a robust economy but also a sense of who was actually running the show. It turns out, many people could have stepped up but decided to enjoy the show from the shadows. The House Oversight Committee is finally uncovering just how many people knew about Biden’s less-than-stellar mental state while in office.
Among the intriguing characters in this saga is Andrew Bates, who served as a Deputy Assistant to the President. Charlamagne Tha God and DNC Chair Jamie Harrison recently grappled with the idea that somehow, someway, the entire Democratic Party came to an unspoken agreement to back a president whose vigor was questionable at best. The conversation turned into a head-scratcher about why anyone who thought different didn’t just step in, with the apparent anointing of Biden as “our guy” trumping all reasonable opposition.
It’s not like no one from the Democratic side challenged this status quo. Robert F. In what can only be described as a tragic comedy, this situation becomes dangerous not just domestically. Other countries observed President Biden’s public missteps, like on that memorable European trip, and began questioning if anyone was actually steering this ship. Even foreign leaders had to step in to keep our president from literally straying off course, leaving us to ponder—who was really in charge during the Biden years? It seems we’ll need more than a House Oversight Committee to solve this mystery that everyone in D.C. knew but chose to ignore in favor of political expediency.
