In a scathing letter to his fellow GOP colleagues, Representative Chip Roy of Texas made it crystal clear that he’s not about to waste his time on a little field trip to the border organized by House Speaker Mike Johnson of Louisiana. Roy, a true patriot, expressed his frustration with the lack of action among House Republicans when it comes to tackling the crisis at the southern border.

Roy ripped into his colleagues, calling out their lack of urgency in addressing the pressing issue of border security. He painted a vivid picture of the dire situation, citing the daily encounters of over 10,000 immigrants by border officials. According to Roy, this flood of migrants is a direct result of the Biden administration’s policies, which he claims are only making matters worse by essentially releasing immigrants at the border and failing to apprehend them. He points the finger at the administration, accusing them of allowing an increase in the smuggling of deadly drugs like fentanyl and other narcotics.
The outspoken Texas Republican didn’t stop there. He threw down the gauntlet, threatening to withhold support for any legislation related to government funding or military aid to foreign allies until concrete action is taken to defend our borders. Roy urged his fellow GOP members to band together and use their “power of the purse” to push for policy changes, refusing to back any funding for federal government operations unless President Biden signs border security legislation into law.
But Roy didn’t just stop at calling out his own party. He also took aim at Democrats, holding them responsible for the crisis and the abuse of our laws. He accused Republicans of failing to force a response to the crisis, emphasizing the need for decisive action.
It’s clear that Representative Roy is fired up and ready to take a stand, refusing to play politics as usual when it comes to the safety and security of our nation.
