This is what happens when America loses its moral compass. A 41-year-old man named Jermel Jones was arrested while dressed as Chuck E. Cheese for stealing a customer’s credit card right from under the noses of innocent families. Kids watched in horror as police dragged their beloved mouse mascot away in handcuffs.
Jones stole the debit card during a child’s birthday party back in June. He thought he could get away with it because who would suspect the friendly neighborhood mouse? This lowlife used that stolen card six times at smoke shops, meat markets, and fast food joints while hardworking parents trusted him with their children.
The victim was a mom who just wanted to give her kid a special birthday party. Instead of creating happy memories, this criminal violated her trust and stole her hard-earned money. This is exactly why families can’t feel safe anywhere anymore, not even at a kids pizza place.
Police found the stolen card right in Jones’ pocket when they arrested him. He tried to lie his way out of it, claiming he just found the card and was going to turn it in. What a joke – criminals always have an excuse when they get caught red-handed.
The bodycam footage shows officers telling kids that Chuck E. was “a little bit busy” as they hauled him away. Imagine trying to explain to your five-year-old why their favorite character is being arrested. These parents paid good money for a fun family experience and instead got a front-row seat to a crime bust.
Jones was also carrying marijuana, because of course he was. This guy represents everything wrong with society today – stealing from families, lying to police, and breaking drug laws. At least the cops did their job and got this predator away from our children.
The restaurant tried to downplay the whole thing with some corporate nonsense statement. But hardworking franchise owners are the real victims here, along with the families who got their special day ruined by this criminal’s selfish actions.
Thank goodness we still have police officers willing to arrest the bad guys, even when they’re dressed like cartoon mice. This arrest should send a clear message – steal from American families and you’ll face the consequences, no matter what costume you’re hiding behind.
