CNN Admits Harris Struggles as Trump Leads in Key States

A forecasting cloud with a silver lining looms over the upcoming election, and it appears that CNN has finally taken off the rose-colored glasses to acknowledge the glaring reality—Vice President Kamala Harris may not be the fresh face the Democrats were hoping would rescue their party from the grip of a former president. Instead, all signs are pointing toward another Trump victory, with Harris trailing right behind.

Harry Enten, a senior data reporter at CNN, broke the unappetizing news for Democrats while serving a delightful treat for Republicans. According to recent polling, Trump is strutting ahead of Harris in six out of seven crucial battleground states. It seems voters are not just craving change but are practically starving for it. With only a meager 28 percent of Americans believing the country is on the right path under the Biden-Harris regime, the writing on the wall clearly signals a desire for new leadership. A president whose approval rating is this low is about as appealing as a soggy sandwich.

Digging deeper into the numbers, Enten highlighted that just 25 percent of the populace feels optimistic when the incumbent party is poised to be sent packing. And the numbers simply aren’t stacking up favorably for Harris. Voters recall certain historical patterns with uncanny clarity; is it any surprise to see a party’s successor struggling when the predecessor’s approval rating is pulling up weeds in the negative zone? The evidence is hard to deny: Biden’s lackluster polling has spilled over into Harris’s own presidential ambitions.

The Democratic Party recognized the impending doom of Biden’s candidacy and swiftly moved to ditch him from the race. Enter Harris, a one-time glowing hope whose initial buzz quickly fizzled out as her attempts to resonate with voters have landed flatter than a pancake. Rather than presenting a clear distinction from Biden’s faltering policies, she has been treated more like a party puppet than a serious contender. After witnessing several failed outreach attempts, it’s no surprise that her campaign’s trajectory resembles a rollercoaster without a safety bar—descending fast and without direction.

As if the writing was not already scrawled all over the walls, a Monmouth poll has found that in the crucial state of Pennsylvania, Trump has captured 47 percent of voter support, skimming just ahead of Harris at 46 percent. With Pennsylvania being the battleground state to watch, this nail-biter suggests that whoever claims victory in the Keystone State will likely usher in the next presidential term. The race is tight, but with the reported performance of the two candidates so far, it appears Harris’s chances are closer to winning a game of bingo than capturing the White House.

The upcoming election is gearing up to be a whirlwind, but conservatives can only hope that the patterns of history continue to hold true, allowing for a Trump triumph once again while leaving the confusing chaos of the Biden-Harris era firmly in the rearview mirror.
