CNN Panel Meltdown: Jennings Destroys Anti-Trump Arguments

In yet another embarrassing episode for the anti-Trump conservatives, CNN’s panel discussion morphed into a masterclass of failed liberal narratives. Republican strategist Scott Jennings schooled Jonah Goldberg, who was once again trying and failing to attack Trump with his usual rhetoric. Goldberg’s weak arguments crumbled, exposing just how hollow these anti-Trump talking points truly are.

The session kicked off with an alarmist narrative from a liberal commentator who fantasized about Trump running a military regime. Just more attempts to paint every action Trump takes as sinister. Jennings, however, called out the absurdity of this comparison. Trump is the elected president of the United States, and enforcing immigration laws is part of his job. Comparing that to a “regime” is a classic left-wing hyperbole designed to stir up fear without any basis in reality.

Goldberg, meanwhile, tried to raise constitutional concerns, like the age-old argument about how Trump allegedly undermines constitutional norms. Unfortunately for him, his argument fell flat when Jennings effectively pointed out that enforcing federal immigration laws is not a violation but a necessity. Goldberg’s shaky case was shattered when confronted with the reality that over half a million illegal immigrants in places like Illinois warrant government action.

As always, liberals and their allies want to have it both ways. They cry foul over law enforcement’s role in immigration yet complain about the consequences of unchecked illegal immigration in American cities. The left seems more interested in maintaining open borders than upholding American laws. Jennings undid Goldberg’s argument with the undeniable fact that the country faces an immigration emergency that the president must address.

In classic liberal fashion, attempts were made to change the subject to other grievances, but Jennings kept the focus on what matters. The bottom line is that millions of illegal immigrants are in the US, and somebody has to deal with the problem. Trump isn’t overstepping his bounds; he’s doing the job liberals have neglected for far too long. When the dust settled, it was clear: Jonah Goldberg’s anti-Trump diatribe didn’t stand a chance against factual counterpoints. Who really needs saving from law enforcement—law-abiding citizens or the Democrats’ reckless policies?
