Michael Cohen, a former lawyer for Donald Trump, was in the news recently for testifying in a trial about hush money. This is not the first time Cohen has been accused of lying. He previously admitted to lying to Congress. Now, Cohen’s own former lawyer, Bob Costello, is saying that Cohen lied on the witness stand.

Bob Costello spoke out about Cohen’s testimony on Capitol Hill. Costello claimed that Cohen lied about him pressuring him to keep quiet about Trump. Costello said that Cohen was desperate to avoid jail time and promised to do anything to stay out of jail.
Costello stated that he never pressured Cohen to stay silent and actually encouraged him to share any relevant information about Trump. Costello said that Cohen told him he had nothing damaging on Trump. The Examiner reported that Cohen accused Costello of using the possibility of a presidential pardon to keep him quiet.
In his testimony, Cohen also referred to an email from Costello discussing Rudy Giuliani joining Trump’s legal team. Cohen alleged that Costello’s email meant to tell him not to cooperate. Costello defended himself by saying he has evidence to prove that Cohen is a habitual liar.
The disagreements between Cohen and Costello show the complexity of the legal issues surrounding Trump and his former associates. It’s important to consider all sides of the story and not jump to conclusions based on one person’s testimony.
