Columbia University, known for its long history of liberal activism, is back in the spotlight once again, but this time for all the wrong reasons. A hundred years ago, students at the prestigious Ivy League institution were standing up against the tyranny of Nazis, but fast forward to today and the scene couldn’t be more different. Instead of fighting against real fascism, these students have taken a shocking turn and are now showing support for the terrorist organization Hamas.
The same university that once stood for freedom and democracy is now cheering for a group that has been designated as a terrorist organization by the United States government. It’s a shame to see the current generation of students embracing an ideology that stands in direct opposition to the principles of freedom and democracy that America was built upon.

This disturbing shift in attitudes is indicative of a broader trend on college campuses, where far-left ideologies have taken over and turned institutions of higher learning into breeding grounds for anti-American sentiment. It’s a troubling sign of the times when young people are more willing to align themselves with terrorists than to stand up for the values that have made this country great.
The fact that these students are openly supporting Hamas, a group that has been responsible for countless acts of violence and terrorism against innocent civilians, is not just a slap in the face to the memory of those who fought against real fascism in the past, but also a dangerous trend that threatens the future of our country.
It’s time for Columbia University and other institutions like it to reevaluate their priorities and put an end to the dangerous spread of anti-American sentiment on their campuses. The time for coddling radical ideologies is over, and it’s time to return to the values that have made America the greatest country on earth.
