This is what the Democrat Party thinks makes a good leader for South Carolina. William Mullins McLeod wants to be governor, but police found him running around downtown Charleston in just his underwear and shoes back in May. He was screaming at the top of his lungs like a crazy person.
The police dashcam video shows 35 minutes of pure madness. McLeod sits shirtless in the back of a police car, yelling profanities and using racial slurs. He rambles about being related to the president and claims police corruption while making zero sense.
This man announced his run for governor on Monday. The very next day, his arrest video went public after a newspaper got it through a freedom of information request. What perfect timing to show voters exactly who this Democrat really is.
McLeod is not just some random guy either. He was the Charleston County Democratic Party chairman twice and works as a personal injury lawyer. This is the best the Democrats can offer South Carolina families.
Even his own party wants him gone now. Democrats are calling for him to drop out of the race after seeing their candidate act like a maniac on camera. But McLeod refuses to quit and plans to keep running.
He claims the arrest was unlawful and says the video release was meant to hurt his campaign. McLeod wants a press conference to set the record straight. Good luck explaining away 35 minutes of unhinged ranting.
This is what happens when the radical left loses control. Their leaders cannot handle basic responsibilities like wearing clothes in public. How can someone who gets arrested in their underwear run an entire state.
South Carolina deserves so much better than this embarrassing spectacle. Voters need to remember this video when they see McLeod’s name on the ballot. The Democrat Party just showed us their true colors once again.
