Democrats have certainly made a dramatic transformation over the years, moving from a facade of Christian values to a party that seems hell-bent on undermining them at every turn. It’s almost as if their leaders have traded in their morality for a more appetizing platter of progressive policies, complete with a side of scorn for traditional Judeo-Christian beliefs. The antics of today’s Democrats suggest that they are either immune to judgment from above or simply too oblivious to care—much like their apparent lack of concern for how often they are judged by voters at the ballot box.
In a recent address, the Democrats appeared like a congregation of gloomy hypocrites. Their demeanor was strikingly reminiscent of the biblical lesson read just prior about fasting hypocritically. It was a striking juxtaposition when the spotlight illuminated the Democrats’ gloomy faces, showcasing their disdain, especially when positive sentiments emerged on stage. The sole round of applause that night came for a foreign nation—Ukraine—which was a rather telling moment for a party that has seemed to sideline American issues in favor of international ones.
The response from Democrats to President Trump’s remarks was especially telling. When he mentioned that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was open to discussions about peace, the Democrats scowled instead of celebrating, seemingly rooting for a continuing conflict instead. This lack of support for peace was a glaring indicator of their priorities. The silence was deafening when Trump honored young DJ Daniel, a brave boy who fought through brain cancer, or acknowledged the families of girls murdered by illegal aliens. Apparently, cheering for American families isn’t quite on their agenda.

They seemed to sour even further when Trump highlighted the widow of murdered policeman Jonathan Diller, welcomed a young man accepted to West Point, and introduced Marc Fogel, recently freed from Russia. It was like watching a horror movie for the emotions, as they visibly sulked through moments meant to celebrate American resilience and success. The Democrats really made a statement by their refusal to applaud issues like free speech, economic growth, energy independence, border security, scientific innovation, and the rights of female athletes. Each positive point from Trump only deepened their frowns and dismissive gestures.
The behavior was less than dignified; Democrats clearly prioritized their phones over patriotism, typing away like distracted teenagers while holding signs like trained circus animals. Rep. Al Green even had to be forcibly removed due to his disruptions, but one can’t help but wonder if that was just a symptom of the collective disarray plaguing the party. This is what the Democrat Party has reduced itself to—throwing tantrums instead of celebrating progress. It’s a reality every American voter needs to internalize, especially as they prepare to hold these political actors accountable in future elections.
