Democrats are gearing up to sell the American public on the idea of Kamala Harris as the next big thing in politics, hoping her unmistakable cackle will be mistaken for genuine joy. Yet, behind the laughs and the smiles lies a vacuum of substantive experience and real results. For all the noise, few seem eager to confront the glaring question of what exactly she plans to accomplish if given the keys to the Oval Office, especially since her track record to date has been less than stellar.
It is no secret that Harris has been hitched to Joe Biden’s wagon, a partnership that has brought the country a slew of disasters including record-high inflation and an unprecedented border crisis. Rather than rolling up her sleeves and tackling pressing issues, her focus seems to be on a rebrand aimed at distracting the public from the uphill battles they already face. The notion that promoting Harris as a solution to the problems she has helped perpetuate is a hard sell—especially for anyone with a functioning brain. Eliminating the Trump tax cuts to raise taxes on hardworking Americans only adds icing to the cake of disqualification.

It’s not just his fumbling rhetoric that raises eyebrows; it’s the refusal to address troubling allegations regarding his son Hunter’s questionable business dealings. When pressed by reporters over Hunter’s attempts to link up with the State Department while Biden was vice president, the president resorted to mocking the press instead of providing clarity. The irony of a leader who calls the media “fake” is apparent, especially when considering that the media has shown him minimal scrutiny thus far. It appears the Biden-Harris duo prefers to borrow a page from Trump’s book, leaving journalists scratching their heads as they navigate a world where accountability is constantly eluding them.
