The latest news out of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia reveals the dramatic charging of a 23-year-old Florida woman for her participation in the January 6, 2021 protest at the Capitol. Barbara Balmaseda now faces a slew of charges, including obstruction of an official proceeding and misdemeanor offenses for entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly conduct, and more.

According to the attorney’s office, Balmaseda allegedly expressed her belief that the 2020 election was stolen, a sentiment shared by many Americans, and was seen near the Capitol with other protest attendees. She even climbed over equipment and ventured into the Capitol, taking photographs in the Rotunda. And can you believe it, over 1,230 individuals have been charged in connection to the January 6 protest! It’s like they’re just trying to make an example out of ordinary Americans who were fed up with the status quo.
Federal judge Tanya S. Chutkan has decided to pause President Trump’s January 6 case while he appeals, claiming “presidential immunity.” It’s clear that the Democrats will stop at nothing to keep pushing their tired narrative about Trump being an authoritarian figure. Yet, it was Biden who tried to impose heavy-handed vaccination and masking mandates, only to be smacked down by the Supreme Court and other judges.
The Biden administration has been quick to label concerned parents as “domestic terrorists” and deliver divisive speeches targeting MAGA Republicans. And now, as if trying to deflect attention from their own shortcomings, they continue to pursue individuals for their involvement in the January 6 protest. Meanwhile, failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and others are still beating the drums about Trump being a dictator, all because of a lighthearted remark he made in an interview.
