Here we go again, folks. It’s a tale as old as time: a battle between common sense and those who would rather chase impossibly green energy rainbows with political maneuvering. A prominent voice in American energy circles is sounding the alarm about certain progressive groups obstructing President Trump’s energy policies. Now, he asserts these groups have some suspicious financial backing. What, you might ask, is the big secret? It turns out they have ties to a dark money network connected to none other than former President Obama and the great behemoth across the Pacific, China.
You might think environmentalists would jump at the chance to embrace nuclear energy, considering how clean and potent it is. However, despite its green credentials, they’re putting up a fight against a nuclear energy revival in the U.S. This seemingly paradoxical stance reveals something deeper—it’s not purely about preserving the environment, but it’s about gaining power. One might even say they prefer to dilute their brains with their de-carbonization Kool-Aid. Unlike the energy crusaders of the past, leaders like Lee Zeldin and Donald Trump recognize CO2 emissions as a non-issue and challenge the orthodoxy by rolling back needless regulations.
Following the money is often enlightening, and in this case, it leads to some eyebrow-raising destinations. Behind the glossy façade of environmental activism lies a complex web spun by partisan mega-donors and, surprise, surprise, foreign interests. Our hard-earned tax dollars find their way into the coffers of suspicious organizations like the Union of Concerned Scientists. With climate spending slashed by President Trump, it’s no wonder they’re on edge. What’s more, groups such as the Sierra Club and Greenpeace are beneficiaries of millions linked back to Chinese interests. And lurking in the background is the Energy China Foundation, an entity with shaky ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
What could motivate China to meddle in America’s energy policies? It’s simple—they want to get ahead. China knows that to dominate in areas like industrial innovation and artificial intelligence, it needs steady, affordable energy, something it’s ensured with an aggressive coal plant building spree. Meanwhile, here in the U.S., decarbonization efforts only serve to complicate and inflate energy costs, rather than providing tangible environmental benefits. In attempting to drive this narrative in our country, China seeks to bolster its position at our expense.
And the reaction from obfuscating politicians is just as disturbing. It’s astonishing how many of those elected to represent us willingly allow distractions like these to hinder genuine progress. While these globe-trotting, carbon-emitting climate activists strut about with self-righteous vigor, real solutions and strategies for energy independence get sidelined. They’ve become masters at commandeering the public discourse, all while hiding their intentions behind a mask of supposed moral superiority. It’s time we call this out for what it is—a charade—so that real advancements in energy and technological independence can take precedence for the good of the nation.
