This proposal could bump the mayor’s paycheck to nearly $300,000, all while the mayor is simultaneously calling for tax increases that would burden hard-working New Yorkers. This has left many scratching their heads and raising eyebrows over what seems to be a disconnect between local politicians and the realities faced by their constituents.

She is calling on President Trump to support measures that ensure taxpayers are not only protected but also receive the funding they deserve for essential services like public safety and infrastructure.
