No longer will these non-law enforcement groups have the power to investigate our hardworking police officers when accusations are made against them. Instead, fellow law enforcement professionals will be entrusted with this responsibility, ensuring a fair and unbiased process.
DeSantis rightly sees these civilian review boards as a threat to public safety, labeling them as nothing more than a political weapon against our brave men and women in uniform. By putting an end to these extra judicial investigations, the governor is sending a clear message that he will not stand for baseless attacks on our law enforcement officers.
