The ladies on The View got into it about the Alabama Supreme Court ruling that considers frozen embryos as “children.” Sunny Hostin, who’s always telling stories about her personal life (we get it, Sunny, you’ve been through a lot), shared her religious beliefs about in vitro fertilization (IVF) and how conception marks the start of human life. She tells the panel about her own experiences with IVF and frozen embryos. Look, I understand that it’s personal, but did we really need to hear about five miscarriages and how much money was spent on IVF? Come on, Sunny, get to the juicy stuff!

She went on to talk about her Catholic beliefs and how she and her husband couldn’t just give up their frozen embryos for research because they, too, felt the embryos were children. Then, Sara Haines butted in, disagreeing with Hostin and implying that calling an embryo a child is a stretch. Hey, Sara, what do you know about the miracle of life, huh? And who asked you to rain on Sunny’s parade?
Joy Behar jumped in, worrying about the Supreme Court and Justice Amy Coney Barrett, who, surprise surprise, is also Catholic. She’s all like, “Oh, Barrett might be hostile to IVF.” Come on, Joy, stop being such a worrywart. And Whoopi Goldberg, our beloved host, chimes in, saying nobody at the table is not “pro-life.” But of course, Sara had to contradict her, saying she’s not “pro-life,” like we didn’t already know that.
The ladies continued to squabble, but Hostin tried to bring them back to the main point of the court case. She reminded them that the people involved wanted those embryos, and they were destroyed. But, of course, Goldberg had to interrupt, saying she didn’t agree and calling the wrongful death ruling a “little stretch.” Thanks, Whoopi, but we didn’t need your two cents. Can we get back to the real issues here, ladies?
