Epstein Surveillance Footage Raises More Questions Than Answers

New questions are emerging about the Jeffrey Epstein surveillance footage that has Americans asking what really happened that night in 2019. The FBI recently released nearly 11 hours of video from the Manhattan jail where the notorious sex trafficker died, but experts say the footage raises more questions than it answers.

CBS News conducted an investigation that found serious problems with the government’s claims about the surveillance video. The footage that was supposed to prove no one entered Epstein’s cell block actually shows huge blind spots and missing coverage. Americans deserve the truth, not another government cover-up story that doesn’t add up.

The so-called evidence that federal officials used to close the case is deeply flawed. You never actually see Epstein go up the stairs to his cell because the camera angle cuts off. The door to his cell is completely off-camera, and the main entrance to the unit where he was held is also not visible.

This is the same government that told us they had rock-solid video proof that no one could have accessed Epstein without being seen. Former Attorney General William Barr personally reviewed this footage and claimed it supported the official suicide story. But now we know the cameras barely captured anything useful at all.

The prison staff completely failed that night in ways that should shock every American. They were supposed to check on Epstein every 30 minutes because he was a known suicide risk. Instead, they falsified records and left him alone for hours. His cellmate had been mysteriously transferred earlier that day and never replaced.

Two prison workers were charged with lying about their duties but those charges were quietly dropped later. Not a single supervisor or Bureau of Prisons official faced any punishment for the massive security failures that led to the death of the most high-profile prisoner in federal custody.

The establishment wants Americans to accept their version of events and stop asking questions. They claim the case is closed and we should all move on. But when the surveillance footage they used as key evidence has this many problems, how can anyone trust their conclusions?

The American people have been lied to by their government too many times before. When it comes to Jeffrey Epstein and his connections to powerful elites, we deserve answers that actually make sense. This surveillance footage investigation shows we still don’t have them.
