It’s high time Europe stopped freeloading off American taxpayers and paid their fair share in NATO. President Trump had the right idea when he demanded that Europe pony up 5% of their GDP for defense. Europe’s cushy ride on America’s dime needs to end, and it’s an outrage that it hasn’t happened sooner. American families are footing the bill while European leaders lounge in their ivory towers. Meanwhile, Europe’s reluctance to pay for its protection is nothing short of blatant disregard for the financial burdens US citizens carry.
The liberals scoffed at Trump for being too harsh. However, isn’t it just another example of left-wing leaders’ aversion to taking a stand? Instead of holding our allies accountable, the left would rather coddle them and let the American people pick up the tab. It’s the typical globalist approach — sacrifice American interests at the altar of international cooperation. But cooperation should go both ways.
Then there’s the scandalous disaster of COVID-19, which might be linked to bioweapons work. Yet, the left refuses to have an adult conversation about it. The cynical dismissal of potential connections to bioweapons shows how far they’re willing to cover for foreign powers just to avoid admitting they were wrong. The same crowd that shut down businesses and mandated masks ought to at least explore the origins of the virus. But, evidently, it’s easier for them to preach fear than to uncover the truth.

This whole mess reveals the hypocrisy of global elitists who decry nationalism while capitalizing on American sacrifices. They trumpet global accountability but turn a blind eye when it’s time for Europe to deliver on its defense obligations. It’s the same old story: blame American conservatives for everything, while the real issues linger unchecked.
How much longer will Americans continue to subsidize Europe’s safety, or swallow the leftist narrative on COVID? It’s about time European allies learn the value of a dollar and that accountability starts at home. One thing is clear: American patience isn’t endless, nor should it be.
