To anyone who’s been living under a rock, “86” is commonly understood as a slang term for getting rid of someone. Pair it with “47,” and many believe it’s an unmistakable reference to Donald Trump, who happens to be the 45th President of the United States. The congressman and chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Rick Crawford, probably summed it up best with disbelief. He seemed quite certain that Comey wasn’t simply captivated by a neat set of numbers he chanced upon, but rather, was engaging in some very questionable antics.
Crawford has a point. The general public might find it hard to believe that the former FBI chief, with all his years of service and alleged know-how, would simply stumble on such loaded imagery by accident. It’s as if Comey is behaving like a restless eighth-grader at the back of the class, desperate for attention.
