In the age of Zoom meetings and pajama bottoms, a disturbing revelation has emerged from the corridors of power. During the Biden administration, many federal employees were cozying up to their couches instead of showing up at the office. For those of us who value hard work and accountability, this is simply unacceptable. It now seems that remote work became a cover for slacking off on the taxpayer’s dime.
The Office of Personnel Management, slapped with a scathing inspector general’s report, is the canary in the coalmine, suggesting a widespread phenomenon of laziness infecting various government agencies. Over half of the sampled employees failed to meet even the basic office attendance requirements. It’s shocking to think that nearly 15% didn’t even bother getting proper approvals for their remote work.
This wasn’t just an OPM problem. It’s indicative of an administration that prioritized convenience over commitment. Under Biden, the federal government became a playground of inefficiency and mismanagement. Americans deserve better. Our tax dollars shouldn’t fund a system where people can shirk their responsibilities with no consequences.

Thankfully, there are voices demanding change. Republican leaders, championing the fight against this remote work abuse, are restoring sanity to government operations. The rampant exploitation of telework policies is being purged, ensuring that the nation’s bureaucrats actually earn their paychecks.
Without accountability or oversight, any system is bound for disaster, and this administration eagerly embraced both chaos and incompetence. President Trump’s decisive action to end the era of telework abuse reminded public servants they have a job to do. The contrast couldn’t be clearer: where the liberal camp clings to convenience, conservatives call for accountability and discipline.
Government workers deserve guidance, not free passes. When will liberals learn that true public service requires more than just logging in from the couch? Will those responsible for this bureaucratic holiday finally face the music, or will this simply be another chapter in the tale of liberal ineptitude?
