FBI Under Fire for Allegedly Using “Honeypots” in Trump Campaign Operation

A fascinating new chapter has emerged in the story of the FBI’s questionable tactics during the Trump campaign. Reports indicate the agency is under scrutiny for a covert operation that involved two female agents catfishing their way through President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, conveniently labeled as “honeypots.” It seems James Comey took his love for scandalous stories and turned them into reality TV, but unfortunately, it wasn’t quite as entertaining as he probably hoped.

The FBI’s little romp into the underground world of espionage wasn’t formally documented, which makes it even more delightful for those who enjoy a good conspiracy. This little nugget of information was popped out of a whistleblower’s mouth and right into the hands of the House Judiciary Committee, revealing that Comey—who has a troubling knack for overstepping boundaries—was directing the operation like a producer on a mediocre reality show. Apparently, the operation was entirely off-the-books, regarding the rules as mere suggestions.

What’s more intriguing is how the CIA’s use of “honeypots” is little more than an infamous flirtation game. It’s the practice of deploying charming women to extract information with a wink and a promise. The participants in this little undercover saga weren’t just ordinary agents; they were placed strategically within the upper management of Trump’s campaign, all while lacing up their stilettos and preparing for a political seduction tour, presumably under the narrative that sex sells, even when it comes to credible investigations.

It’s noteworthy that this operation was completely separate from the infamous “Crossfire Hurricane,” which aimed to pin Trump as a Russian puppet. While the FBI tangled with the idea of hunting down a smoking gun, it seems all they could come up with was a whole lot of nothing. The agency’s intentions appeared more aligned with fishing for dirt than solving any actual crimes, leaving one to wonder if their real goal was more about discrediting Trump than seeking truth and justice.

James Comey’s decision to run such a covert and unrecorded operation raises eyebrows on multiple levels. The FBI supposedly prides itself on its reputation, yet it seems to have traded that prestige for another episode of “Guess What? We’re Political!” According to the whistleblower, documents and reports were concealed from the Justice Department Inspector General, making the Bureau look less like a legitimate investigative agency and more like a scorned ex throwing a tantrum.

With the underwhelming success of Comey’s endeavor, the now-appointed FBI Director Kash Patel is stepping into the spotlight, tasked with exterminating these political antics from the Bureau. It seems that a fresh set of eyes may soon bring to light the questionable activities that flourished under the previous regime, which, as history shows, was more interested in drama than in justice. For conservative Americans, the hope is that this might pave the way for a return to an FBI that serves U.S. citizens rather than engaging in political theater.
