In the latest episode of media madness, Katie Couric has once again shown the left’s obsession with attacking former President Donald Trump rather than focusing on real issues. During an interview, Couric attempted to drag Senator John Fetterman into her anti-Trump crusade. She repeatedly tried to provoke him into calling Trump a fascist dictator. But much to her dismay, Fetterman refused to play her game. Despite being a Democrat, Fetterman saw through the charade, maintaining that America remains a democracy.
It’s refreshing, albeit surprising, to see a Democrat, like Fetterman, daring to challenge the liberal playbook. Most Democrats can’t resist labeling Trump and his supporters with derogatory terms. Calling them Nazis is practically a pastime for today’s left. But not Fetterman. He refuses to engage in this divisive rhetoric. Instead, he draws the line at slandering political opponents, a practice that has become all too common in liberal circles.

This is not the first time Fetterman has shown some backbone against his party’s craziness. He has repeatedly joined Republicans in crucial votes, recognizing their sound logic and hard-to-ignore realities. Recently, he voted with them to end the government shutdown, understanding that there was no actual strategy from the Democrats. It takes courage and clear-sightedness to break away like this, especially when his party leaders offer nothing but confusion and chaos.
The media, led by figures like Couric, is desperate to paint Trump and his supporters as threats to democracy. They can’t accept any narrative that doesn’t fit their anti-Trump agenda. Couric, with her reputation as a seasoned journalist, should do better. Instead, she pushes the same worn-out narrative, essentially begging politicians to join her echo chamber. Yet, the people see through this charade, just like Fetterman did.
The liberal media’s failure to ensnare Fetterman into their narrative is a victory for common sense and a wake-up call to those who blindly follow. When even a Democratic senator won’t indulge in their games, it should be a clear signal that perhaps it’s time to focus on real issues facing this country. Maybe, just maybe, it’s an indication that the left needs to change its tune before more of their own start to defect in the face of their glaring hypocrisy.
