Florida seems to have a migration issue of its own — attracting sensible folks who prioritize security and freedom. In a state known for its warm weather and sunny disposition, it might just become the destination for those tired of frigid politics.
And if that wasn’t enough, Florida is taking a bold step forward with the construction of a new migrant detention center, humorously dubbed Alligator Alcatraz. This infrastructure marvel aims to expedite the deportation process, easing the pressure on local jails. The location, in the Everglades, raises concerns for environmentalists, yet DeSantis assures that his number one priority remains the preservation of Florida’s natural beauty.
It’s a breath of fresh air to see a concrete plan, quite literally, put into motion. As New York and other states grapple with their choices, Florida demonstrates that it’s possible to embrace lawfulness without sacrificing compassion.
