It’s a relief to imagine children conjuring dreams of a fairytale kingdom where everyone is genuinely good. Unfortunately, this isn’t a Disney movie. Such a massive operation invites chaos and errors, and yet some folks in Washington appear to think a welcoming smile and a wave do the trick. Whether out of naivety or negligence, this approach could lead to more “nightmare scenarios,” leaving American citizens picking up the pieces.
Considering the hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan, there’s an understanding that many of the Afghan allies who arrived on American soil deserved recognition for their years of partnership. However, what’s intriguing is their sudden right to jump the queue of established systems.
