Galveston Heroes Crush Border Chaos: 30 Months of Grit & Triumph!

Get ready, folks, because it’s time for another thrilling tale of brave deputies going above and beyond the call of duty to defend our great nation’s borders! We’re talking about the fantastic men and women from the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Border Security Response Team (BSRT) who have been showing those illegal foreign nationals pouring through from Mexico that America’s borders are not to be messed with.

You see, these heroic deputies, led by the outstanding Galveston County Sheriff Henry Trochesset, have been putting their lives on the line at the Texas-Mexico border for a whopping 30 consecutive months, y’all! That’s right, 30 months of dedicating themselves to keeping our borders secure.

Not only have these deputies been racking up some serious mileage – traveling roughly 400 miles from the Houston suburbs to Galveston Island – but they’ve also been busting some serious crime along the way. We’re talking about seizing 85 weapons, making 1,436 felony arrests, and detaining a whopping 8,263 adults and 229 minors.

Now, let’s not forget about Operation Lone Star, the brainchild of the one and only Gov. Greg Abbott. This mission was launched in 2021 to combat the chaos and crisis that erupted at the border after President Joe Biden’s questionable policy changes.

But the impact of their hard work goes beyond just numbers and statistics. The people of Kinney County, one of the smallest border counties hit hard by the illegal border crossers, have witnessed firsthand the incredible difference these deputies have made. They’ve shown up in the face of disaster and invasion, bringing hope and safety to a community under siege. They’ve even stood in the way of a silent invasion of military-age men, displaying an unwavering commitment to protecting our homeland.
