Disney’s hypocrisy is stunning but not surprising. They fired Carano for comparing political persecution to historical events. But they protected Pedro Pascal when he compared Trump to Hitler on social media. Rules for thee but not for me.
Elon Musk deserves huge credit for backing Carano with ten million dollars through his X platform. Without his support, Disney might have gotten away with their discrimination. This shows what happens when conservatives have real resources to fight back.
The settlement terms are secret but sources say Disney paid big money. They were terrified of going to trial in September. A public court battle would have exposed their anti-conservative bias for all America to see.
Disney even said they want to work with Carano again in the future. That means she could return to Star Wars after they tried to destroy her. Talk about eating crow and begging for forgiveness from someone you tried to cancel.
