It seems clear that these four were determined to find an example of due process being trampled, but choosing someone with such a checkered past might not be the strategy that earns a victory at the polls.
Let’s get real for a moment. Forget the fact that Garcia is in the spotlight for possibly being involved with a violent gang and allegedly beating his wife. The true surprise here is that these politicians believe this is the hill to die on for democratic values and due process. Once upon a time, political advocates fought for the downtrodden and the falsely accused.
