A recent revelation from a Harris campaign official sent shockwaves across the conservative sphere by practically admitting that the campaign is on a deliberate fishing expedition to mislabel Trump’s policies as “Project 2025.” This strategy seems to stem from the belief that artful manipulation of public perception—rather than actual policy discussion—will resonate better with voters. Apparently, honesty is out, and mischief is the new game plan for Team Harris.

The reality is that the Project 2025 document does little more than critique aspects of the ACA while cleverly avoiding commitments that would usher in any cuts. After all, acknowledging the deliberate choice to misrepresent Trump’s policies is a bold move that would make any seasoned political strategist proud—if the strategy weren’t so transparently dishonest. Instead of engaging in an honest debate about policies, the Harris team appears to believe that throwing mud will somehow work. In what world is attacking an opponent based on fabricated claims a winning game?
Trump, for his part, has maintained a distance from Project 2025. His Truth Social account easily criticizes the misinformation campaign pushed by the Democrats, labeling it “disinformation put out by the Radical Left Democrat Thugs.” Shoot straight, and the former president’s remarks aim right at the heart of the issue: the Democrats’ constant attempts to intertwine Trump with policies he neither supports nor endorsed.
Meanwhile, in a rather unrelated but equally comical twist, the DNC Chairman Jaime Harrison seized upon a minor verbal slip from Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade in order to ignite yet another firestorm of controversy. The lamentable issue? Harrison mistakenly seized the opportunity to claim that Kilmeade used an outdated term during a discussion, only to have Kilmeade swiftly clarify that it was a complete misunderstanding. It seems these Democrats are so engrossed in the narrative they’ve constructed that they aren’t even paying attention to reality anymore.
In the end, the Democrats are not only scared of a potential Trump comeback but are willing to resort to whatever shenanigans necessary to keep their political fortunes afloat. With Harris now in the hot seat and bolstered by a campaign founded on artifice, it seems the truth has taken a backseat as both parties brace for what will certainly be another wild ride to November.
