The brave men and women of the FDNY risk their lives every day to keep New Yorkers safe, but thanks to the liberal bureaucrats and their reckless budget cuts, one of their own, Derek Floyd, tragically suffered a heart attack and lost his life. The real tragedy here is that Derek Floyd, a dedicated firefighter, was let go because of budget cuts related to housing and providing for illegal immigrants. It’s a sad day when our own citizens are put at risk in order to cater to people who are in our country illegally.

The New York Post readers are furious about this situation, and they have every right to be. It’s a disgrace that hardworking Americans like Derek Floyd are being laid off while the government bends over backwards to take care of illegal immigrants. This is just another example of the failed liberal policies that continue to put Americans last.
Instead of prioritizing the safety and well-being of American citizens, the liberal elite are more concerned with virtue signaling and pandering to illegal immigrants. It’s a shame that Derek Floyd paid the ultimate price for their misguided priorities. The readers of the New York Post are demanding accountability and justice for Derek Floyd and for all American citizens who are being neglected in favor of illegal immigrants.
