The House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has been facing quite the challenge in keeping the unruly House of Representatives in check. With a slim majority, he’s had to rely on the help of Democrats to dodge government shutdowns. It’s like trying to herd cats in there, but Johnson is doing his best to keep the ship afloat.
Now, some of the Democrats are feeling pretty smug about the whole situation. They’re all too happy to swoop in and save the day, especially if it means pushing through their spending priorities. But hey, if it means they can claim victory and look good doing it, who cares about the GOP’s floundering?
