In a bold and audacious move, Hunter Biden managed to evade arrest for ignoring a House subpoena by holding a news conference on the Senate side of Capitol Hill. The son of President Joe Biden was supposed to appear for a closed-door deposition before the House Oversight and Judiciary committees to address his alleged involvement in an influence-peddling scheme tied to his father. Instead of facing the consequences, he decided to snub the subpoena and proclaim his innocence to the press.

The choice of location for the news conference was no accident. Fox News correspondent Chad Pergram shed light on the situation, explaining that had Hunter shown up on the House side, House Oversight Chairman James Comer could have called on the Sergeant at Arms to arrest him for non-compliance. But Hunter cleverly chose to appear on the Senate side, where the House Sergeant at Arms has no jurisdiction. It was a clever stagecraft on Hunter’s part, showcasing his calculated avoidance of accountability.
Former Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz did not hold back in criticizing Hunter’s antics, calling it a pompous stunt. Chaffetz pointed out the significance of Hunter choosing the Senate side, suggesting that there might be a reason behind it. Social media also erupted with criticism, highlighting the double standards and hypocrisy in Democrats defending Hunter’s refusal to cooperate while subjecting Republicans to rigorous interrogations.
Donald Trump Jr. also jumped into the conversation, highlighting the media’s biased reaction to Hunter’s defiance. Trump Jr. sarcastically anticipated the media’s lack of outrage, convinced that they would cover for Joe Biden and his corruption. He urged the GOP to fight back and not let the Democrats get away with their political persecution.
As a response to Hunter’s actions, House Oversight Chairman James Comer and Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan announced their intention to launch contempt of Congress proceedings against him. The evidence against Hunter and his father, Joe Biden, continues to mount, suggesting abuse of power and financial gain through questionable foreign deals. If Republicans fail to stand up and take action, they risk losing the respect and support of the American people. It’s time to hold the Bidens accountable and ensure justice is served.
