When sanctuary cities and states talk tough about “public safety,” it’s all smoke and mirrors designed to hide their stunning incompetence and blatant lawlessness. Take Illinois—a so-called sanctuary state where the rule of law is not just ignored, it’s trampled underfoot. Here, an illegal alien wasn’t just hiding in the shadows. He was walking the streets as a cop, badge gleaming, gun in hand, and a shiny pension plan on the side. That’s right. Illegal immigrant Radule Bojovic managed to sneak his way into a police force in Hanover Park, serving as an officer despite breaking every law in the immigration book.
How does this even happen? Simple. When liberal politicians like Governor J.B. Pritzker run the show, they prioritize virtue signaling over actual rule enforcement. Bojovic came into this country on a tourist visa—one he was supposed to leave by 2015—yet he stayed for a full decade without legal status. Rather than being deported immediately, he was rewarded with a $79,000 yearly salary, all paid for by hardworking American taxpayers. Add in the health and payroll taxes, and that illegal alien costs the public over $200,000 this year alone. And where was the local police board’s due diligence? Nowhere to be found. Accountability is clearly optional in Player One’s Illinois.

It’s a crime on its face—illegal immigrants are prohibited from owning guns. Yet here, one was not just owning a gun but wielding authority over law-abiding citizens. This isn’t just a bureaucratic screw-up. It’s political malpractice enabled by leftist policies deliberately designed to undermine America’s sovereignty and the safety of its citizens.
Meanwhile, the federal government under President Trump and Secretary Noem has made it clear: Illegal aliens do not belong anywhere within our borders—let alone in positions of authority. Their crackdown through operations like Midway Blitz has exposed the rot festering within so-called sanctuary areas. If Illinois is the poster child for sanctuary state failure, then it’s no wonder criminals and lawbreakers feel emboldened to flout every law on the books. And make no mistake: this radical open-border agenda is about dismantling America from the inside out.
This case begs the question: if illegal aliens can become cops in Illinois, what’s next? Judges? Mayors?
