Illegal Immigrant Charged with Groping High School Classmates

In the latest episode of shocking incompetence, we head to Fairfax High School in Virginia, where an 18-year-old illegal immigrant allegedly ran amok, charged with nine counts of assault and battery for inappropriately touching female classmates. You’d think this was the plot of some over-the-top drama, but no, it’s real life. The school’s principal finally sent a letter to parents about the recent arrest, but here’s the kicker: the letter only came after weeks of pressure from concerned parents. The delay speaks volumes about the priorities of those in charge.

Stephanie Lenquist Aurora, mother of three and a leader in the Fairfax County’s Independent Women’s Network, isn’t buying into the administration’s excuses. Her son dealt with an incident involving racist language at his middle school, which, while problematic, was communicated to parents immediately. Yet, when it came to actual physical assault, the school hesitated for weeks to inform the community. One has to wonder if there’s a special prize for dropping the ball this spectacularly.

The crux of the problem seems to be a policy that allows undocumented immigrants to enroll in public schools without proving their age or identity. This essentially means anyone claiming to be under 22 can attend classes on the taxpayers’ dime, no questions asked. Talk about a system ripe for abuse! With no way to establish how old these individuals really are, it’s anyone’s guess what could happen next. It’s almost like the district has forgotten what ‘public safety’ means.

When confronted about their oversight, the Fairfax school officials had the audacity to provide the usual bland statement about prioritizing student safety, as if saying it often enough might make it true. Meanwhile, mothers of the affected students were informed that the alleged perpetrator might return to school once out on bail. Clearly, the district has a unique definition of ‘safety.’ And they call this reassurance?

With leaders like these at the helm, no wonder concerned parents have to resort to pressure campaigns just to get basic information. It’s a sad day when school districts prioritize policy loopholes over the physical safety of their students. Parents are left wondering if they need to start wearing capes to save their children from the overgrown bureaucracies that seem to care more about paperwork than people.
