The suspect, Alex Yonatan Flores-Arce, entered America illegally as a teenager under President Biden’s open border policies. Maryland officials repeatedly released this predator into communities despite ICE warnings, putting innocent families at risk.
Flores-Arce crossed the Mexico border in 2019 with his family, exploiting loose immigration rules for minors. Border Patrol caught him but let him go with a court date he never honored. This reckless catch-and-release practice allowed him to roam free for years while taxpayers funded his stay.
He attacked a Maryland woman in 2024, earning a 15-year prison sentence for rape. ICE demanded custody to deport him, but Howard County ignored federal law. Local leaders cared more about protecting illegals than protecting rape victims.
After serving just days of his sentence, Flores-Arce walked free because Maryland prioritizes sanctuary policies over justice. He violated probation immediately, but police released him again. This revolving door of crime shows how Democrats enable predators.
ICE finally hunted him down this week, capturing footage of him smirking during arrest. His arrogance reflects the entitlement fostered by weak border enforcement. Sanctuary cities create safe havens for criminals, not for law-abiding citizens.
Maryland has now released over 150 illegal sex offenders this year alone. Each represents a preventable threat to women and children. These aren’t “victims” – they’re violent criminals protected by woke politicians.
