The Biden administration strikes again with its latest move—shutting down the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP). This is a clear blow to America’s standing in the world. Anyone with a grain of common sense knows that the Democrats are more about looking good than doing good. The USIP was a beacon of American diplomacy and soft power. Now, it’s just another casualty of liberal incompetence.
For far too long, this administration has been more focused on appeasing foreign adversaries and pandering to global elites than strengthening America’s position. Closing the USIP offices is nothing short of irresponsible. With its team of diplomatic experts dismissed, the U.S. is left vulnerable. The world relied on the influence of American peace efforts. Now, our enemies must be cheering at our diminished presence.

It’s laughable how the left claims to champion peace and diplomacy, yet they shut down an institute built for just that. What happened to building bridges? The Democrats can talk all they want about diplomacy and global coalitions, but their actions scream hypocrisy. While they chase headlines and social media praise, they’re dismantling institutions that actually made a difference.
The former USIP staffers highlight the vacuum left by its closure. These folks knew what they were doing—bolstering U.S. interests abroad. Now, without them, there’s a question about who will step up to fill this void. Should we trust a president who can’t even manage his own administration? The shuttering of USIP is another glaring example of misplaced priorities.
This move makes one wonder: Is their goal to weaken America’s global influence? Perhaps this is just another step in their playbook to empower globalist interests at the expense of American strength. As the Democrats fumble around in their political echo chamber, it might be the perfect time for Americans to ask: Is this really the leadership we deserve?
