The Texas Democrat withdrew her bid for the top Democratic spot on the powerful House Oversight Committee after failing to gain support from colleagues. This marks her second failed attempt to climb the leadership ladder, with House Democrats instead choosing Rep. Robert Garcia to lead the committee.
Crockett recently made headlines for a profanity-laced rant against President Trump, calling him a “mofo” in a live Instagram video while criticizing his military actions in Iran. Her vulgar language and aggressive tone drew widespread condemnation from conservatives who value respect for the presidency and civil discourse. She accused Trump of disregarding laws and the Constitution despite his administration’s compliance with the War Powers Act.
The firebrand Democrat’s confrontational style has repeatedly backfired. During a DEI hearing last year, Crockett erupted into a viral rant claiming “there has been no oppression for the white man,” comparing diversity initiatives to snack foods in a confusing analogy that left colleagues baffled.
