Senator JD Vance of Ohio recently took a sledgehammer to Vice President Kamala Harris’ pathetic attempt to question his loyalty to the United States. It’s almost laughable that Harris, whose record on national security and border control can best be described as a series of blunders and missed opportunities, would throw stones at a decorated veteran like Vance. The unintentional comedy bit hit peak absurdity this past Saturday when Vance appeared alongside none other than former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Vance’s swift rebuttal came hot on the heels of Harris’ bizarre suggestion that his loyalty lies only with Trump and not with the country. This smear was part of a mounting campaign by the left to discredit Vance after rumors spread that he might be the former president’s running mate in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. Since the Democrats have a hard time finding new talking points beyond “Trump bad,” it’s no surprise they’re labeling Vance as a rubber stamp for Trump’s “extreme agenda.” The irony, of course, is rich.

In a recent YouTube video, which could only be described as cringeworthy, Harris insinuated that Vance, if elected vice president, would prioritizing serving Trump rather than serving American citizens. What exactly qualifies her to decide who can be loyal to the United States? A quick look at her own track record begs the question. Rather than addressing the pressing issues facing the policy landscape, she prefers to aim cheap shots at someone paving the way for America’s bright future.
Vance wasted no time turning the tables on Harris. His response was not only pointed but also served to expose the hollowness of her accusations. He reminded the audience about his own service in the United States Marine Corps and his entrepreneurial contributions to the nation. When a guy who put his life on the line argues his loyalty to the country, it’s an offense to logic for Harris to question him. If Kamala wants to talk loyalty, perhaps she should reflect on her own commitments to protecting America, especially at the southern border.
News reports highlight that Vance’s rebuttal gained traction online, amassing over five million views in mere days. It’s crystal clear that when the left opens the loyalty can of worms, they’re only setting themselves up for failure. Kamala Harris might want to rethink her strategy because when Americans hear that kind of nonsense, they quickly gravitate towards a veteran who stands for the flag, not someone who treats it as a mere afterthought.
