In a recent hearing, Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan took a hard stance against potential fraud lurking within government programs, particularly in Minnesota. As the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Jordan expressed concern about what he described as a crisis of integrity costing taxpayers billions of dollars nationwide. An additional concern raised during the hearing involved spending on autism programs in Minnesota, which skyrocketed from just over a million dollars in 2017 to nearly 350 million by 2024. Jordan suggested that this is just another area rife with potential misappropriation of funds—indeed, 98 people have been indicted for fraud, with 85 from the Somali-American community.
