The latest appearance by Vice President Kamala Harris can only be described as a comedic disaster. This spectacle felt more akin to a clumsy circus act than a serious political interview. Despite the set being wrapped in what could only be called protective bubble wrap, Harris still managed to trip over her own words and priorities with the grace of a toddler strapped in for a bumpy ride. The optics of the event were abysmal, with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz looking less like a supportive partner and more like a crutch desperately holding up a faltering VP. The entire scene screamed, “Please, someone keep an eye on her.”
What viewers were subjected to was a master class in verbal gymnastics—where the goal appeared to be to say a lot without actually conveying any meaningful response. Even while faced with direct questions from CNN’s Dana Bash, Harris seemed more interested in delivering an incoherent monologue than providing actual answers. This prompted the unmistakable inference that perhaps the Biden administration has stashed her away in a bunker for a good reason—maybe to protect her from herself.
CNN’s interviewer couldn’t keep herself from telling Harris how to answer the question while asking the question. And Harris still couldn’t manage to give a coherent answer. https://t.co/8BxzSWqgi5

The lighting and presentation throughout the interview did no favors for Harris. It looked like a makeup artist was asleep at the wheel, leaving Harris appearing as if she had just stepped out of a bad sitcom. Her attire was poorly fitted, and the awkward angles captured made her look diminutive and lost behind a center-stage water cup. It was a total disaster in the visual department that even amateur graphic designers would have rolled their eyes at. If this were a beauty pageant, she would have been crowned “Most Likely to Trip on Her Own Words.”
When it came to policy, Harris proved yet again that gaslighting voters is not just an art; it’s a strategy. She failed to enlighten anyone on how Bidenomics, which is reminiscent of a train heading straight off the tracks, could be beneficial. Instead, she pivoted to blaming former President Trump for “mismanagement” of the economic issues that have occurred in America during her and Biden’s watch. The audacity was almost impressive—who knew the current administration could blame their struggles on a predecessor nearly three years out of office?
Despite the repeated grilling from Bash about her questionable policy decisions and lack of solutions, Harris displayed an unsettling lack of accountability about her and Biden’s failures. She absurdly insisted she had no regrets regarding her previous comments about the president’s mental competence. One would think that with the growing concerns about Biden’s cognitive ability, facing such inquiries might prompt at least a glimmer of humility, but no such luck. For Harris, it was full steam ahead with a disturbing note of defiance, almost as if she’s convinced that voters are oblivious to the chaos enveloping the administration.
And as a final comedic twist, the pre-taped segment was deceptively labeled as “live.” The irony of potential mistakes being scripted and then poorly executed was not lost on astute viewers. If any doubts remained about Harris’s connection to reality, her frequent glances at prewritten notes were a worrying indicator. It would seem that even rehearsals are too much for her to manage without a cheat sheet. At this point, if the goal was to project confidence and competence, what was witnessed was the exact opposite—an interview that perfectly encapsulated the struggle of a VP trying to find her footing in a sinking administration.
