Kamala Harris’s AG Record Reveals Key Biden Administration Influences

The track record of Vice President Kamala Harris during her tenure as California’s Attorney General is a treasure trove of far-left ideologies and a roadmap for the Biden administration’s liberal policies. With over a dozen briefs filed, this legal laundry list reveals her unwavering commitment to progressive causes that have become opening salvos in America’s cultural wars.

Among her more noteworthy ventures into leftist legal theory is her fervent backing of affirmative action. Both in 2012 and 2015, Harris stood at the helm of amicus briefs that championed race-based admissions at the University of Texas. This bravado went against California’s constitutional amendment aimed at curbing such preferences. Harris contended that banning affirmative action undermined the Equal Protection Clause, a notion that learned folks like Chief Justice John Roberts would challenge in 2023 when the Supreme Court invalidated racial preferences altogether. Harris was quick to object, framing the ruling as a retrograde step, revealing a penchant for ignoring the will of the people and the wisdom of the judicial system in favor of ideological pursuits.

Harris’s commitment to the abortion industry is equally telling. In 2013, she joined her colleagues in opposing buffer zones designed to protect pro-life counselors from engaging with women outside abortion clinics. By 2016, she was stirring the pot again, contesting a Texas law that demanded abortion providers have admitting privileges at local hospitals. To Harris and her cohort, the priority appeared to lie not with the health and safety of women but with ensuring unrestricted access to abortion. This commitment reached a peak with her support for a Californian law that forced pro-life pregnancy centers to promote abortion services, which, unsurprisingly, was later shut down by the Supreme Court for infringing upon First Amendment rights.

On issues of religious freedom, Harris took a decisive stance against for-profit companies like Hobby Lobby, arguing they should be compelled to provide contraceptive coverage even if it violated their beliefs. This bare-knuckle approach to religious liberties was matched only by her eagerness to dismiss the concerns of religious nonprofits facing similar battles. Rather than protecting the rights of individuals to practice their faith freely, Harris propagated a narrative that pitted civil rights against religious convictions, subtly suggesting that some freedoms are simply more equal than others.

In the realm of LGBTQ+ rights, Harris has shown her willingness to bend the rules to fit her progressive agenda. Whether officiating California’s first same-sex wedding or refusing to defend Proposition 8, the state’s same-sex marriage ban, she has consistently placed identity politics front and center. Her advocacy extended to supporting policies that would allow inmates to obtain gender transition surgeries, reflecting a broader push for policies that many conservatives argue infringe on the rights and safety of women, especially in sports and public spaces.

Her approach to immigration exemplifies a similar trend. It’s no wonder Harris rallied against Arizona’s immigration law, positioning herself as a champion for illegal migrants while seeking to prevent states like Texas and Iowa from enforcing their own rules regarding illegal entry. This fixation on protecting illegal immigrants at any cost raises alarms amongst conservatives who understand that laws are not mere suggestions but the cornerstone of societal structure.

No matter how one slices it, Kamala Harris has a distinct record that screams leftist ideology and prioritizes progressive politics over the well-being and safety of the American populace. With her sights set on the highest office and a wide-open agenda, voters may want to keep a keen eye on how her past may dictate America’s future should she get the chance to apply her radical theories from the Oval Office.
