Kamala Harris’s political career is sinking faster than the Titanic, and her latest antics in trying to cozy up to controversial pop culture figures highlight the desperation of the Democratic elite. After her failed attempt to become president, Harris has latched on to figures like Megan Thee Stallion, a rapper known more for her twerking than for any substantial contributions to society. It’s no wonder she couldn’t garner support in the face of a robust campaign from Donald Trump, who once again proved that the American people are not buying the left’s tired identity politics.
While Harris and her team were all in on celebritizing their campaign with pseudo-sensational support from Megan, here’s a slap of reality: Megan’s past is as messy as Harris’s political record. Aligning with a pop figure whose claim to fame includes vulgar lyrics and explicit performances speaks volumes about Harris’s priorities. The left loves to scream about empowering women, but when it comes to standing behind someone who promotes wholesome female empowerment, they’re nowhere to be found.

Meanwhile, the spectacle continues to unfold as Tory Lanez, infamous for allegedly shooting Megan, suffers a brutal attack in prison. Perhaps Harris, in all her disappearance from public view, ought to be questioned about the quality of her surrogates. Is this the kind of drama we should be discussing instead of meaningful policies and governance? But the left loves a circus more than substance, don’t they?
Lanez’s life inside prison is a reflection of the left’s disregard for law and order, where even behind bars, chaos reigns supreme. What else is new? The alleged attack was by another violent criminal, a sign of the systemic failures the left ignores about our justice system. Yet, we’re supposed to feel sorry for a situation that the left’s policies help perpetuate?
Harris herself should take a good, hard look at why aligning with celebrities to pepper over a lackluster political record doesn’t work. When will Democrats learn that performative endorsements won’t win them real votes or solve America’s problems? Or is the spectacle itself the point?
The saga of Kamala Harris and her misguided alliances is just another chapter in the liberals’ book of failed strategies. They should stop trying to win over voters with staged rallies and pop culture clout and instead address the real-world issues facing everyday Americans. But maybe that’s asking too much from a party that’s lost touch with reality.
