In an alarming display of left-wing fanaticism, a protester at a so-called “No Kings” rally in Portland, Maine, didn’t hide her sick desire for President Donald Trump’s death. She openly admitted that the best birthday gift would be Trump’s obituary. This isn’t some quiet political disagreement — it’s a brutal, violent wish for the demise of a sitting U.S. president. And yet, the left applauds this dangerous rhetoric as if it were some badge of honor. Welcome to modern American liberalism, where political differences aren’t settled in debates or at the ballot box but through threats and outright hatred.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. Across major cities, protesters aligned with the “No Kings” movement have openly fantasized about violence against members of the Trump administration. In Seattle, one protester brazenly voiced a desire to kill a White House official. In Chicago, another made a chilling “neck shot” gesture toward conservatives honoring patriot Charlie Kirk. These aren’t isolated incidents; they’re textbook examples of how the radical left abandons decency and embraces intimidation to shut down conservatives. They wrap their lawlessness in the thin excuse of fighting “tyranny,” yet they are the true tyrants — bullies attempting to silence opposition with threats and violence.

The “No Kings” movement claims to be about resisting tyranny and defending democracy. But they conveniently ignore the real tyranny in America today: a culture that tramples free speech, demonizes dissenters, and tries to erase our history. These protesters parade around accusing Trump of authoritarianism, all while wishing assassination and political violence on him. Hypocrisy doesn’t begin to cover it. This dangerous double standard is nurtured and protected by a media class eager to fan the flames of division and chaos, rather than condemn such behavior outright.
What’s even more striking is the complacency — the casual acceptance of this kind of venom from the left. When a woman’s mother stands behind her, smiling as hateful threats against the president are spat in public, it signals a disturbing cultural decay. There was a time when wishing harm on elected officials would lead to serious consequences. Today, it’s met with a shrug, or worse, cheers. This growing culture of impunity threatens the very fabric of our republic. When one side declares its willingness to murder political opponents, silence is complicity.
It’s time for conservatives and decent Americans everywhere to call this out and demand accountability. The left’s endless parade of hatred and intimidation cannot go unanswered. If our democracy is to survive, free speech must be defended, not weaponized into death threats. People who openly wish death on the president should be exposed, condemned, and held legally responsible. We cannot allow this toxic hatred to become normal. The real question is: when will the rest of the country wake up and say enough is enough?
