When will the left stop their hissy fits over tariffs? Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent hit the nail on the head by pointing out what he calls “tariff derangement syndrome.” It’s clear that criticism of President Trump’s trade plans isn’t based on facts or reason. It’s driven by knee-jerk reactions from liberals who’d rather see American interests sacrificed on the altar of globalism.
Bessent’s comments highlight the insane level of hysteria surrounding Trump’s bold trade strategies. Liberals scream about tariffs like they’re the end of the world, but they forget they’re just a tool to level the playing field. For too long, our hardworking American industries have been battered by unfair foreign competition. Trump steps up to the plate, and suddenly the left becomes trade “experts,” spewing nonsense with every breath.
Why does the liberal elite have such a blind spot when it comes to defending American workers? Instead of supporting measures that protect our industries, they whine about hurting the feelings of countries that have been exploiting us for years. They’d rather cuddle up to globalists than stand up for their fellow Americans.
Globalist interests are the real poison here, infecting every debate with an anti-American bias. Tariffs are just the latest battleground. It’s not surprising that those with ties to shady foreign deals are quaking in their boots. This administration’s America First approach cuts right through that mess, and the liberals can’t stomach it.
