A federal judge has once again thrown a wrench in the works of President Trump’s bold plans to tackle birthright citizenship. This time, U.S. District Judge Joseph Laplante has blocked an executive order aimed at preventing automatic citizenship for babies born in the U.S. to non-citizens. Just when it seemed that conservative principles had a chance to win in the courtroom, a liberal judge steps in to side with the ACLU and create a new obstacle.

Make no mistake, this isn’t just a legal decision; it’s an ideological battle. The ACLU claims that babies might suffer “irreparable harm” from this order, but let’s get real. It’s the nation that suffers when we allow citizenship to be handed out too freely, weakening the very fabric of our society. We need to prioritize American citizens, not set policies that encourage others to exploit our generous laws.
The Supreme Court had made strides in limiting the power of lower courts with its recent ruling. They recognized that universal injunctions overreach the authority given to judges, limiting the scope to just those involved in the lawsuit. This was a glimmer of hope for conservatives who want to see the rule of law maintained. But Judge Laplante’s decision to grant class-action status effectively negates this progress, creating a loophole that allows the judicial system to overstep boundaries unchallenged. It’s liberal activism at its worst, and it impacts every American.
Let’s not forget that the judiciary should not be an instrument for social engineering. When judges prioritize political agendas over the law, they undermine the democratic process. This case highlights a growing trend within the judiciary to act as a gatekeeper, impeding the policies of an elected President. The courts should not serve as tools for those who wish to dismantle our borders and our sovereignty.
The hypocrisy is astounding. The very same people who preach about the importance of election integrity and the rule of law are now trying to sidestep it through judicial overreach. It’s almost as if they think they are above the law, manipulating the system to fit their narrative. Why are we allowing these decisions to hinder the progress of American nationalism?
Every American should be alarmed by this wave of judicial overreach. It threatens our national identity and citizenship—that is not just a term; it’s a promise to those who contribute to our society. The time has come to ask: whose side are the judges on? Are they with the American people or with globalist interests that threaten our sovereignty?
