In a bizarre display of folly, a CNN commentator recently attempted to question the citizenship status of the Trump family. This liberal talking head, known for his bombastic claims, tried to paint a picture of President Trump’s children as somehow illegitimate Americans. The irony is immense, given that the core conservative principle behind this great nation is the rule of law, something clearly lost on this so-called expert.
The discussion initially began around a new migrant detention center in Florida, nicknamed “Alligator Alcatraz,” due to its location in the Everglades. Critics have called it “anti-American,” a ridiculous jab at reasonable measures to secure our borders. This commentator, instead of focusing on the topic at hand, meandered into an inaccurate and ill-advised critique of Trump’s family’s citizenship. Armed with flimsy evidence, this leftist firebrand took aim at Trump’s children—facts be damned!
It’s laughable—though unsurprising—that these liberal pundits try to rewrite something as straightforward as citizenship regulations, a cornerstone of American identity. This posturing might work in their echo chambers, but in reality, American citizenship laws are straightforward: if you’re born to an American parent, guess what? You’re an American! Applying this logic to impugn the straightforward status of Trump’s children shows an appalling ignorance or deliberate misinformation meant to confuse and mislead.
Not content with this botched diatribe, the commentator even went a step further by suggesting these children benefited from policies that simply don’t apply to them. This is a clear demonstration of the left’s desperation to revamp discussions away from our glaring border insecurity, which the left often conveniently ignores until it serves their political narrative. The obsession with the Trump family knows no boundaries for these media demagogues.
The left’s constant attacks show not only their desperation but their utter disregard for truth. As conservatives, we should ask: in a nation founded on principles of law and order, where does this circus of misinformation end? Isn’t it time for real journalists to stand up to this barrage of deceptive narratives?
